BEAUTY: DIY Face Mask To Eat

Hello Lovers,

I felt the need to share another of my favourite homemade beauty remedies with you and it really has been a while since the last DIY Beauty post. Combining two of my favourite things, Food and Pampering myself I have stumbled over this recipe a couple of months ago.

Besides the fact that you can EAT UP the unused product, the best thing is that you only need 3 simple ingredients of which I believe at least 2 everyone has in their kitchen.

- OATMEAL
- MILK
- HONEY

Oatmeal, which is great to softly exfoliate your skin, removing dirt and opening pores.
Milk, well even the great Cleopatra knew how good Milk is to your skin, smoothens it and has a ton of great ingredients to make us look even better.
Last but not least, giving us a natural glow and other goodies.

Convinced?

Here we go.

STEP 1.

Warm up about 250 ml of Milk on medium heat ( which kind of milk is all up to you, Almond Milk, Lactose free Milk or even Soya Milk, I have tried it with all kinds and never had anything to complain about) Taste wise for afterwards I would recommend Almond Milk.

STEP 2.

Once the Milk is nice and warm add 2 Tablespoons of oatmeal and stir, stir, stir so the oatmeal won't stick to the bottom. Depending on the consistence of your creation add more oatmeal while you go until it is nice and thick. Look at it and just think of how a mask would look like and you will definitely now when it is done.

STEP 3.

When you have your mixture the way you want add 2 Teaspoons of honey. Let it all cool, so you won't burn your face. What I do it, I put some into an extra bowl for my mask and the rest I eat whilst I wait for my Mask to cool. Win win situation.

STEP 4.

My experience is, once I have finished up my bowl of oatmeal, my mask has cooled down to a nice warm temperature. Massage onto your face, leave out the eye area of course. Let it sink in for 10 - 20 minutes rinse of with warm water, pat your face dry then wash your face again with colder water so all the pores that have gained all the goodies can close up again and relax.

How often you want to use this mask is pretty much up to you, I, myself, do it every time I get the urge for a bowl of oatmeal. So I combine my breakfast with a beauty remedy. Awesome right?

  6. I hardly leave comments, however I looked at some of
the comments on this page "BEAUTY: DIY Face Mask To Eat".

I do have 2 questions for you if it's okay. Could it be just me or do some of these remarks look like they are written by brain dead people? :-P And, if you are writing at other places, I would like to follow everything fresh you have to post. Could you make a list of every one of all your social pages like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
